AUTOMATED INFORMATION SYSTEM
The automated information system “Archive” (AIS “Archive) has been designed for storage and processing of archive documents without thematic restriction, provision to the users of archive documents by their characteristics, by their thematic content, by content entities (persons, organizations, companies, etc.) and events. Selection of this information and its comparison to
thematically identical data enables the creation of problematic and prognostic analyses, and
detection of the tendencies in the development of definite processes.
System activities:
Entry of information
In system “Archive” the entry of information is performed in the following modes:
In interactive mode on the screen;
by printed material scanning;
by text arrays;
Thematic exposition and annotation of the materials has been automated to the maximum degree.
Options have been provided for use of nomenclatures upon entry of data on the screen. Upon entry of the information,
formal and logical control over the data is performed to guarantee correct data
processing.
Update of information
It is performed when correction has to be made of detected mistakes upon entry or indexing of documents. Correction is made after identification of the document or the system connection
and entered to the journal files in the system.
Deletion of information
Deletion of documents or connections upon detection of operator's or administrator's mistakes. Deletion is performed after identification of the document or connection in the
system with the explicit permission (confirmation) of the operator on duty. Deletion is
recorded in the journal files of the system.
Query activity
The system has an option for queries by arbitrary combinations of different document characteristics, key words and full text search by document content.
For each query there is a possibility for the answer to be received in a number of relevant documents and/or their print out.
Platform independence
The automated information system “Archive” has been designed to operate within the environment of the operating systems Unix, Linux, Windows 2003, XP, 2000, NT, 98, etc. As Database Management System can be used every relational DBMS relevant to the requirements of the SQL ANSI standard - Oracle, Informix, SyBase, MS SQL Server, etc
